Ability: Dexterity

Acrobatics measures your ability to perform acrobatic stunts, including dives, rolls, somersaults, and flips. It also covers your ability to stay on your feet in a tricky situation.

Example Uses

  • Stay on your feet in a tricky situation
  • Perform an acrobatic stunt
  • Navigate difficult terrain while maintaining balance
  • Escape from grapples through nimble movement
  • Land safely after a fall

When to Use Acrobatics

The GM might call for a Dexterity (Acrobatics) check when you attempt to:

  • Walk on a narrow ledge or beam
  • Stay upright on a rocking ship's deck
  • Perform a spectacular dive or flip
  • Squeeze through a tight space
  • Maintain your balance while walking on ice

Difficulty Examples

  • DC 10: Walking across a narrow but stable beam
  • DC 15: Staying balanced on a ship during rough seas
  • DC 20: Performing a complex acrobatic maneuver while in combat
  • DC 25: Executing a perfect landing after falling from a great height
