Ability: Charisma
Deception measures your ability to convincingly hide the truth, either verbally or through your actions. This includes lying, creating false identities, and misdirection.
Example Uses
- Tell a convincing lie
- Wear a disguise convincingly
- Create a false identity
- Misdirect someone's attention
- Conceal your true intentions
When to Use Deception
The GM might call for a Charisma (Deception) check when you attempt to:
- Fast-talk a guard to let you pass
- Con a merchant into giving you a better deal
- Create a believable cover story
- Maintain a disguise under scrutiny
- Convince someone you're someone else
