
Intimidation
Ability: Charisma
Intimidation measures your ability to influence someone through overt threats, hostile actions, and physical violence. It includes verbal threats, menacing posture, and displays of power.
Example Uses
- Awe or threaten someone into doing what you want
- Extract information through fear
- Cow a weaker-willed person into submission
- Make someone back down from a confrontation
- Project an aura of menace and authority
When to Use Intimidation
The GM might call for a Charisma (Intimidation) check when you attempt to:
- Pry information out of an uncooperative prisoner
- Convince street thugs to back down from a fight
- Make yourself seem more dangerous than you are
- Get someone to reveal information through fear
- Assert dominance in a social situation
