Stealth

Ability: Dexterity

Stealth measures your ability to conceal yourself from enemies, slink past guards, slip away without being noticed, and sneak up on people without being seen or heard.

Example Uses

  • Escape notice by moving quietly and hiding behind things
  • Sneak past guards undetected
  • Move silently through dangerous areas
  • Hide from pursuing enemies
  • Approach a target without being noticed

When to Use Stealth

The GM might call for a Dexterity (Stealth) check when you attempt to:

  • Hide from enemies in combat
  • Sneak past sleeping guards
  • Move silently through a dungeon corridor
  • Tail someone through city streets without being noticed
  • Ambush enemies by remaining hidden until the perfect moment

Difficulty Examples

  • DC 10: Hiding behind adequate cover with few observers
  • DC 15: Sneaking past distracted or inattentive guards
  • DC 20: Remaining hidden from alert enemies actively searching
  • DC 25: Moving silently across noisy terrain while being hunted
