Unlike weapon or armor proficiencies, tool proficiencies focus on utility, crafting, and specialized knowledge. They represent months or years of training with specific tools that allow you to perform tasks others simply cannot accomplish effectively.
Types of Tool Proficiencies
Classes typically gain proficiency with tools that complement their abilities and background:
- Artisan's Tools: Specialized crafting implements like Smith's Tools, Alchemist's Supplies, or Jeweler's Tools that allow creation of specific items
